Andrew Goldsworthy is our Principal Physiotherapist located at Mona Vale and is a valued member of the Mediphysio team. Andrew graduated from the University of Sydney with his undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy. He started his career working at one of the leading rehabilitation facilities in Sydney, specialising in orthopaedic rehabilitation and the treatment of complex neurological disorders including spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries. Andrew also has comprehensive experience working with people with complex disabilities.
Along with extensive rehabilitation experience he has advanced clinical knowledge in the treatment of musculoskeletal and sports specific conditions having worked many years in private practice. He has particular interest in the treatment and management of knee and shoulder injuries, back pain and sports injuries with a focus on returning clients to an active life.
Andrew prides himself on his ability to build trust with his patients, which enables him to conduct a holistic assessment and allow for effective education after the condition has been expertly diagnosed. Andrew believes in an active approach to therapy, including exercise and functional movement retraining. By doing so, this complements the benefits his patients experience with his effective manual therapy skills and ultimately optimises their recovery, empowering them to take back control of their body.
Outside of work, Andrew enjoys spending time with his young family and catching up with his friends. During the weekends Andrew loves taking his Groodle, Mac, for playful walks to the dog park across the Northern Beaches.
